DESCRIPTION

Reminiscent of the colours of the deep sea along with pristine waves, the combination of green and white always adds a touch of serenity. Inspired by this feeling of calm, the maker plays with multiple glazes to create a unique piece!

The maker's favourite, the form of the bowl showcases a Japanese aesthetic with bold hues and spacious form. The design also allows a designated space to hold chopsticks, making it modern and functional.

Combining your love for the sea with the love for ramen, this piece stands out as a one-of-a-kind statement ware. Are you ready to slurp on some soupy noodles?

Parinda Parikh

FROM VADODARA- PUNE INDIA

Born in a creative family and fueled by passion, Parinda completed her graduation in Fine Arts. For her Masters she opted for Sculpture and picked Ceramic as the medium. Why? “ I had experience working with multiple materials like stone, wood, fiber glass, etc. But what gave me freedom was clay! Its a playful, flexible and vast medium, which can be altered and have fun with. Clay is not rigid or stubborn.”

The Modern Clay studio was launched in 2019, with the aim to create modern designs through the traditional craft of pottery. Parinda loves experimenting with multiple glazes, blending colors to create unique shades.
