Anjali, a visual designer and potter, graduated from NIFT Bangalore and has worked with various brands and agencies. After nearly a decade in the fast-paced design industry, she sought a slower, more tactile creative process, leading her to the art of pottery.

Practicing pottery since 2019, she launched her brand in 2023. Urban Potter - The name of her brand is an ode to the fact that she found a pure traditional craft in a modern bustling city. Mindful, authentic, and sustainable, Urban Potter embraces modernity while honoring time-tested methods. Being a keen observer of nature, her creative process begins with drawing inspiration from nature, followed by conceptualizing the collection. She experiments with ergonomics and glazes, striving to balance functionality and aesthetics. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted using traditional wheel-throwing and hand-pinching techniques, with glazes that echo the beauty of the natural world.
